Welcome to the ASCLS Clinical Lab Investigations (CLI) - case studies for the laboratory professional.   Each case study is designed to take you beyond the laboratory test and investigate the causes for abnormal laboratory results.  

Earn continuing education credit conveniently at your own pace by downloading the cases and successfully completing a quiz.   Upon successful completion of the quiz, a certificate that indicates P.A.C.E.® - approved credit will be mailed; expect 3-4 weeks for receipt of the certificate.   Cost is $15 for ASCLS members; $25 for nonmembers.

Case set #2 Quiz & evaluation form Completed quiz and evaluation must be received by April 30, 2010
Case set #1 - Immunology/Immunohematology Set includes cases on Hashimoto Thyroiditis, Antibody Identification in a patient with CLL, and ABO Discrepancy in a Multiple Myeloma Patient
Case set #1 Quiz & evaluation form Completed quiz and evaluation must be received by August 31, 2009.
  • To obtain 1.0 contact hour of P.A.C.E.® – approved credit you must obtain a 70% or better on the quiz and include payment -- $15 for ASCLS members and $25 for non-members.
  • Follow the instructions on the quiz for completion and return by fax or mail to the ASCLS P.A.C.E.® Coordinator. Mailed quizzes must include either check (payable to ASCLS) or credit card payment; faxed quizzes must have credit card payment included.
  • Quiz must be completed and returned by the expiration date listed on the answer sheet page for credit. Answers to all quizzes will be posted after the expiration date. Completed quizzes will not be returned.
  • Please return the P.A.C.E.® evaluation form with your completed quiz. Your evaluation of this learning experience will help us to develop future learning activities
