Testimonial:
"I worked for 21 years as a clinical laboratory scientist. My experience
has been in almost every area of the lab including chemistry, special
chemistry, serology, blood bank, toxicology, and a smattering of hematology
and microbiology. Now I am using that technical knowledge in my new position
at Bio-Rad. As a QC Specialist for Bio-Rad Laboratories, I am responsible
for helping the account managers in my region sell the Bio-Rad Quality
Control products. It is a very different career from the lab, but I have
found it very rewarding. I enjoy the travel and love meeting and talking
with people about our product. Being a member of ASCLS was part of the
reason I was able to get the job with Bio-Rad. I have attended all but
one ASCLS meeting since 1993. In Atlanta several years ago, I met and
talked with my future boss several times while I visited the exhibit hall.
The power of networking at the national meeting is tremendous. Sales is
an interesting and rewarding career. Every day brings a different challenge
and I have never regretted my decision to change careers."
