The Annual Meeting is more than a conference, it's an experience. The event brings together colleagues from all facets of the laboratory—from higher education, to the bench, to the administrative suite. The educational sessions span Chemistry/Urinalysis to Microbiology/Public Health, Hematology/Hemostasis to Molecular and Cytogenetic Diagnostics, Phlebotomy to Generalist/Interdisciplinary, and much more. The social events and networking breaks give you the chance to connect, share experiences, and make life-long friendships.
“2018 ASCLS Annual Meeting was something that I had been looking forward to since I found out it was in a location close to where I am currently living. After having experienced it, I can’t wait to keep returning not just for the PACE® sessions but being able to see all my new friends and help learn new ways to advance my profession.”
Here are just a few of the reasons you should make plans now to join us in Charlotte, North Carolina, June 23-27.
ASCLS & AGT is More than a Partnership — It's Expanded Opportunity
For the first time, ASCLS and AGT are holding a joint Annual Meeting with an integrated educational program, abstracts and poster presentations, and new ways to connect with industry partners. This new Annual Meeting experience gives ASCLS members expanded educational programming in molecular biology/genetics topics and access to a wider range of industry partners, all under one roof.
Exhibitors will be integrated throughout the conference venue, with exhibit tables and demonstration theaters among the session rooms. You can also schedule one-on-one meetings with exhibitors to engage in deeper, more meaningful conversations.
The Educational Program is More than CE Credit — It's Career Growth
The educational program will include 70 sessions and eligibility for up to 15 hours of P.A.C.E.®-approved education.
Six pre-conference workshops give you deep dives into molecular biology/genetics topics, such as next-generation sequencing and deciphering the language of cytogenetics.
Session topics will address every stage in a laboratorian's career path — from students looking for their first jobs, to a day in the life of lab leadership.
A Career Symposium will feature three topics related to advancing your career, including distance learning opportunities for clinical laboratorians; how to acquire your "dream job"; and DIY mentoring.
